Poets&Quants has announced its 10th annual 'Best & Brightest Business Majors' feature, recognizing 100 outstanding undergraduate business students who exemplify exceptional leadership, innovation, and proactive engagement in their academic and professional pursuits.
The selected students represent a diverse range of business disciplines, including business administration, marketing, finance, and operations. From 50 top-ranked undergraduate business schools, these students demonstrate entrepreneurial capabilities that extend well beyond traditional classroom learning.
Jeff Schmitt, Poets&Quants' senior writer who initiated the series in 2016, characterized this year's cohort as distinctly entrepreneurial. These students are not merely launching businesses but actively creating opportunities through club initiatives, organizing workshops, and fostering collaborative environments.
Notable honorees include David Elias Kurzmann from ESCP Business School, who founded vipi.education, a student-led tutoring service across Europe. Stephen Mitchell from Marquette University stands out as the Men's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year and was recognized in both Finance and Information Systems. Skyler Mott from Lehigh University simultaneously manages a track and field team captainship and operates a realty business with properties valued at $5 million.
The list reflects a balanced representation, with 51 men and 49 women, demonstrating the increasing diversity within undergraduate business education. Each student profile provides in-depth insights into their extracurricular activities, achievements, and perspectives, accompanied by testimonials from faculty and administrators.
By highlighting these emerging business talents, Poets&Quants offers a comprehensive view of the next generation of business leaders. These students represent more than academic excellence; they embody adaptability, initiative, and a commitment to driving meaningful change in their professional and academic communities.
