Powermax Minerals Launches 2026 Exploration at Cameron REE Project in British Columbia

Powermax Minerals Inc. (CSE: PMAX) (OTCQB: PWMXF) (FSE: T23) has announced the commencement of its 2026 exploration program at the wholly owned Cameron Rare Earth Element (REE) project near Revelstoke, British Columbia. The three-week campaign is designed to build on previous stream sediment, soil and rock geochemical results through detailed geological mapping, prospecting, rock, soil and stream sediment sampling and targeted ground radiometric surveys.

The company stated that the program will integrate geological, geochemical and radiometric data to better define previously identified REE anomaly corridors, constrain potential bedrock source areas and improve understanding of pegmatite-hosted mineralization. Results will be used to rank exploration targets and guide future work, with management noting that the project remains at an early stage and that geochemical or radiometric anomalies do not necessarily indicate the presence of economically recoverable mineralization.

This exploration push is significant for Powermax as it seeks to advance its portfolio of rare earth element projects. The Cameron property comprises three mineral claims totaling approximately 2,984 hectares in British Columbia. The company also holds options on the Atikokan REE Property in NW Ontario (455 unpatented mining claims), the 5,178-hectare Pinard REE in Northern Ontario, and owns a 100% interest in the Ogden Bear Lodge Project in Crook County, Wyoming.

The importance of this news lies in the growing global demand for rare earth elements, which are critical for technologies such as electric vehicles, wind turbines, and defense systems. By advancing exploration at Cameron, Powermax is positioning itself to potentially contribute to the supply chain for these essential materials. The company’s efforts could have implications for the rare earth market, particularly if the project yields economically viable deposits. However, investors should note that the project is at an early stage and that further work is needed to confirm the presence of commercially recoverable mineralization.
