Recastia Launches PDF to Video Converter for Narrated MP4 Creation

Recastia, a content repurposing platform, has unveiled a PDF to video converter that allows users to create MP4 videos from PDF files. The tool is designed to turn product brochures, service guides, and other documents into videos suitable for exhibition screens, sales demonstrations, and event presentations. This matters because it lets businesses repurpose existing print-oriented materials into engaging video content without starting from scratch, potentially saving time and resources while expanding the reach of their documents.

The PDF to video converter gives users control over which pages appear in the final video, so they can exclude unnecessary sections such as ordering forms or lengthy reference sections. The process begins with template previews. After selecting a template, users upload one or more PDFs. If multiple files are uploaded, users can adjust the file order before the converter merges the content. They then choose a generation mode and select the pages to display. Word documents, PowerPoint files, and images are also supported as inputs, adding flexibility for users with mixed content types.

The converter offers three modes: Minimal, Easy, and Advanced. Minimal Mode is suited for displays without voiceover, showing selected pages automatically. Users can set a fixed display time per page or divide a total display duration evenly among the selected pages. Background music is optional, with library tracks or uploaded audio available. Easy Mode uses one continuous voiceover script for the entire video, while Advanced Mode provides a separate script field for each selected page. This allows users to explain product features on one page and specifications on another. In both voiceover modes, users can write scripts themselves or use AI Copywriting to generate editable scripts from the PDFs. When using AI Copywriting, users select the language for the generated scripts, then choose an AI voice and decide whether to include subtitles and an avatar.

The PDF to video converter supports landscape (16:9) and portrait (9:16) videos for different screen orientations. Visual customization options vary by template. For example, the Page-Flipping Book template lets users choose a background image or upload their own, and add a colored cover border around the book. The finished MP4 can be downloaded for playback on an event screen or within a presentation. Users can also edit the video's title and description, embed it on a product website, share its unique link, or use a QR code on event materials so visitors can open it themselves. These features extend the video's usability beyond a single event, enabling online sharing and easy access.

"Users may want to introduce a product at an event without taking visitors through the entire brochure," said Winston Zhang, CEO of Recastia. "Our PDF to video converter helps them create that introduction from their existing documents in a format suited to the screen where the video will appear." The announcement highlights a growing trend of repurposing static content into dynamic video formats. For businesses that rely on brochures and guides, this tool could streamline the creation of promotional and informational videos, potentially increasing engagement at events and online.
