Pacific Marine Expo, the largest commercial marine trade show on the West Coast, has officially opened registration for this year's event, set to take place at the Lumen Field Event Center in Seattle from November 20th to November 22nd. This year's expo promises a range of new features and programs aimed at driving innovation in the commercial marine industry.
According to Bob Callahan, Group Vice President of Diversified Communications, the organization producing the expo, 'For more than 50 years, Pacific Marine Expo has been a catalyst for innovation in the commercial marine industry. Thanks to new partnerships and innovative education programming, this year's Expo will be a must-do event for the entire fishing and commercial marine industry.'
A significant highlight of the 2024 expo is the introduction of WorkBoat West, a new educational program tailored for shipyards, vessel owner-operators, and other commercial marine stakeholders. This initiative aims to connect commercial fishermen with other marine professionals through a range of programs, including discussions on Maritime Blue, shipyard operations, and military contracting.
The free Expo Education Program will also be a key feature, offering sessions on marine safety, business management, regulatory issues, and technical advancements. These sessions are designed to provide attendees with essential updates and foster open discussions and networking among industry professionals.
Hundreds of exhibitors will be present, showcasing the latest in innovative technology, products, and services across almost every commercial marine category. The Alaska Hall will return, featuring exhibits dedicated to Alaskan products and services, underscoring the region's significance in the commercial marine sector.
Special events such as the Expo Opening Night, daily happy hours, and the Coastal Challenge are also planned, providing additional networking opportunities and entertainment for attendees.
Last year's Pacific Marine Expo attracted over 5,000 industry leaders and featured more than 30 speakers during the free education sessions curated by National Fisherman. Given the new features and expanded programming, this year's event is expected to draw even more participants and continue its tradition of being a pivotal gathering for the commercial marine industry.
