TES (SZSE: 003019.SZ), a leading provider of touch display solutions, officially inaugurated and put into operation Phase I of its manufacturing base in Rayong Province, Thailand, on October 29, 2026. The event, attended by TES Chairman Kevin Lee, local government officials, and supply chain partners, marked a significant expansion of the company's manufacturing footprint in Southeast Asia and signaled a new stage in its global strategic layout. With an initial investment of US$24 million, the Rayong plant is positioned to produce interactive smart displays, interactive all-in-one PCs, and smart automotive displays, with expected production value in the tens of millions of US dollars for the local economy.
The commissioning of the Rayong plant is a key milestone in TES's global "Dual-Core Smart Manufacturing" strategy, which leverages dual manufacturing bases in China and Thailand to offer higher supply chain resilience and more flexible delivery capabilities. According to Chairman Kevin Lee, this setup will help global customers mitigate trade risks and capture market opportunities. The strategic importance of the new base lies in its ability to diversify trade risks by offering flexible options for country of origin, assisting clients in adapting to changing global trade environments and optimizing tariff structures. This is particularly relevant for OEM and ODM partners seeking stable delivery amid regional supply chain fluctuations.
Located within the WHA Industrial Estate in Rayong, the plant covers a total land area of 42,399 m² with a building area of 26,630 m², making it TES's largest single manufacturing base in Southeast Asia to date. The facility is situated in Thailand's Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), approximately 1.5 hours (113 km) from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport and 1 hour (70 km) from Laem Chabang Deep Sea Port, enhancing international trade and logistics efficiency. The plant has received Investment Promotion Privileges (BOI) certification from the Thai government, ensuring operational stability and policy support.
Phase I facilities include production plants, administrative offices, and employee living support facilities, with a current workforce of approximately 300 employees. The plant's monthly planned capacity includes 65,000 units of 7–55" touch monitors and all-in-one PCs, 300,000 units of SMT-related products, 120,000 sets of automotive touch display modules, 120,000 units of automotive optical bonding products, and 30,000 units from automotive assembly lines. Moving forward, TES plans to add one additional assembly line and two bonding lines to meet the stable delivery requirements of medium-to-large batch OEM and ODM orders. The company will systematically execute the full migration and integration of its Chonburi and Rayong operations in phases, with space reserved for future expansion.
The Rayong plant has fully implemented TES's globally unified quality management system, enforcing standardized control from supplier management to final outgoing inspection to ensure consistent high-quality standards across all global products. For global customers, the new base offers efficient and fast delivery, operational stability, and enhanced supply chain resilience through cross-regional multi-base synergy, establishing a capacity redundancy framework to buffer against regional fluctuations. As TES continues to cultivate the Southeast Asian industrial ecosystem, the Rayong plant is expected to drive local supply chain development and job growth, while providing enhanced capacity, superior service, and highly competitive cost structures to global clients.
