Giotto.ai Launches Free Cloud Access to Its AI System, Aiming to Democratize Advanced Intelligence

Giotto.ai, the Swiss AI lab founded in 2017, today announced the launch of a free cloud version of its general-purpose AI system, making advanced intelligence available to everyone, everywhere as of now. The announcement follows the recent launch of Giotto.ai's enterprise offering and the beginning of its deployment with selected enterprise partners. With this new public cloud release, Giotto.ai is taking the next step in its mission: to become a civic AI infrastructure built in Switzerland and available to the world.

Giotto Cloud is designed to give anyone access to a powerful, intelligent, and reliable AI system, free of charge, directly from the browser, and without artificial usage caps. “Artificial intelligence is becoming infrastructure,” said Aldo Podesta, CEO and co-founder of Giotto.ai. “Access to advanced AI should not be reserved only for large corporations, hyperscalers, or closed foreign platforms. We are releasing an intelligent infrastructure that is open, accessible, and useful to people everywhere.”

The new cloud version of Giotto is hosted in Europe, on latest-generation NVIDIA B300. This deployment reflects Giotto.ai's commitment to European technological sovereignty, data proximity, and the development of AI systems that can be operated within European infrastructure while remaining accessible globally. This move positions Giotto Cloud as a different model for AI access: not a closed platform, not only a commercial subscription product, but a public-facing intelligence layer available to everyone.

Giotto Cloud gives users access to a general-purpose reasoning system capable of supporting writing, analysis, research, document work, coding assistance, and everyday productivity. The system builds on Giotto.ai's research in advanced reasoning and test-time compute, as well as the company's experience developing enterprise-grade AI systems. The launch represents a significant step in making advanced AI tools available to a broader audience, potentially impacting how individuals and small businesses leverage AI for productivity and innovation.

The implications of this announcement are far-reaching. By offering free, uncapped access to advanced AI, Giotto.ai is challenging the prevailing model where such capabilities are often gated behind paywalls or restricted to large enterprises. This could level the playing field, enabling students, researchers, freelancers, and small businesses to access AI tools that were previously out of reach. Moreover, by hosting the system in Europe, Giotto.ai addresses concerns about data sovereignty and privacy, which are increasingly important in a world where AI systems often rely on cloud infrastructure located in other jurisdictions.

“Europe should build, operate and make advanced intelligence available to everyone. Giotto Cloud is our contribution to that future: a free, intelligent AI system, built in Europe and open to the world,” said Podesta. Giotto.ai will continue to serve enterprises and institutions through its Download, Use, and Buy offering, allowing customers to deploy Giotto in controlled environments, access it through managed infrastructure, or acquire dedicated AI appliances. The free cloud version complements this strategy by making Giotto available to the broader public.
